Essential Info

Now, maintaining your cat’s litter box is sanitary, easy and effortless. Odor is virtually eliminated. Ten minutes after your cat has used and departed the Mega Deluxe LitterMaid™, a sifting comb moves through the litter picking up any cat waste. The waste is deposited into a sealed, air-tight container. The sifting comb returns to its original position, ready to begin another cleaning cycle. This operation is completely automatic. When the reusable/disposable waste container is full, just wash it out for reuse or throw it away.

An electric eye is used to detect when your cat has used and left the litterbox. An additional safety sensor bar on the sifting comb stops the comb if it encounters an obstruction.

Installation is easy. Simply place the Mega Deluxe LitterMaid™ in a location convenient for you and your cat. Fill with premium quality clumping litter. Operates on either household current or 8 standard D-cell batteries (sold separately).

"I had one of these. One of my three cats has extremely gummy (yuck!) feces. The rake would get all nasty, and when I tried to take it apart to clean the rake, I could never figure out how to put it back together again. If they modified the design so that the rake could easily snap on and off, it would be better. So what I'm using, instead, is lift and sift plastic liners. They come in packages of 20, all installed at once, with a rubber band to hold them in place. All you have to do is grab the top sheet and pull the corners together. "This litter box virtually eliminates the need to clean out those smelly dirty litter boxes that even the cat doesn't want to use! No it is not perfect, but it is close to it. You will at times have to clean the rake when feces becomes stuck to it(it pays to use premium scoop litter as it doesn't stick as easily as cheap litter).I have owned 2 of these in the last 10 years and would highly recomend them to anyone. Be sure that you get the Mega Deluxe model because it is much bigger then the normal one and at least my cats perfer using the bigger box over the smaller one. Be careful not to over fill the box with litter because the extra litter may pile up in front of the rake preventing it from returning to it's normal position and it will keep on running until you move the litter manually! Once in a while you may have to take a scoop and remove some feces that may stick to the bottom of the litter pan? This usually happens if there is not enough litter in the pan.
