Bird spiders have different portable bases for easy removal and storage. The Bird Spider is constructed of stainless steel "arms" on a U.V. protected polycarbonate base. There are no moving parts in the base unit which makes the Bird Spider from Bird-B-Gone extra sturdy and stable.
