The product arrived promptly in good condition. The instructions were straight forward and it was easy to install. (I pulled the door from the hinges for installation. Working on an installed door would probably be uncomfortable and difficult.) Overall quality seems to be quite good and my cat, not the brightest creature in the world, was able to figure it out fairly easily. Two details kept this product from getting an excellent rating: 1. The four way locking mechanism is designed to allow your pet to either enter, exit, both or neither. However, when set to egress or ingress only, a determined cat can defeat the product by snagging the door with its claw and pulling it back toward itself. I believe that this product is available with a 2 way lock only, and that might be a better option. 2. Twice, my not-so-bright cat was playing with the door like it was a toy and got his paw trapped in it. He yelped while trying to pull it out, but experienced no real injury. He's seems to have learned that a cat door is not a toy.
