Don't work. Waste of money

This Unit has far more control and Power than the "Bird-house-type" units frequently seen. It's important to be able to have the unit do what you want it to do and when, so this one is definetely worth the extra few bucks. Effects with these units may vary--depending on the "monster" next door (and their Dog)--buy MY experience was great!

The first device didn't work. It was audible even in ultrasonic mode. I sent the device in for a replacement and had the same issue with the second device. Additionally, the second devicevappearedbto have been previously used. It was scratched and the decals were damaged. On the plus side, the exchange and refund process was easy enough.

Product might work well for your own dog in your own yard but if it is your neighbor's dog, forget about it. The device goes off in the wind and if a plane flies over. The ultrasonic doesn't work, there is only the audible tone.

sings continuously in the audible range as soon as I put last battery in. No stopping it. finally stopped on its own. will not perform ultasonic only. The only it will do is shut up the howling beast next door if I hold it and point it right at him from 20 feet. Which is all I ever really wanted anyway. Probably worth about $19.99.

I purchased this and got here fast and couldn't wait to use it. I put new batteries in it and the test button worked but when my dog and the 4 dogs behind me barked nothing happened. I played with all the buttons and still nothing I couldnt even shut it off with the off button so I had to take the batteries out. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR TIME!!!

Very good product and good service from Smarthome. Paid a little amount of tax. Products works well but I needed a DC plug. Overall satisfied. NIRMAL MAURITIUS

Recieved quickly with no issues. Placed unit ontop of fence post within 8 feet of where the neighbors dog barks between our houses making sure there were no obstuctions. Did'nt see any reduction in the amount of barking. The switch from audible to silent was backwards. In audible mode I did a hand held test and the unit didnot turn on until it was within 3 feet of the barking dog. The dog did seem to turn and go away once the unit had turned on. So if your willing to hold this in the dogs face at random intervals throught the night I would recommend it. Otherwise im not very satisfied.

The first unit received was defective - confirmed with a call the the actual importer (Viatek Consumer Products Group, 2115 Chapman Rd Ste 149, Chattanooga, TN 37421). The audio output was clearly audible no matter what the setting of the "audible/ultrasonic" switch. This unit was returned to SmartHome for replacement. A very helpful customer service representative helped expedite the replacement after it seemed to be "stuck" for a couple of weeks. The replacement unit worked only slightly better - again, the audio output was certainly not in the ultrasonic range with the switch set to that position (and my hearing is NOT that good). In addition, the unit would only trigger when set to the most sensitive position, then would not shut off. So, I cannot speak to the actual effectiveness of the product since problems with both units rendered them useless (and I opted not to try a third). Customer service from both SmartHome (once I contacted the right person) and from Viatek was quite good, but I certainly cannot recommend this product.

The Super Bark Stop would never activate when the dog in question barked but Smarthome was very quick to do a refund and was very understanding about our unusal circumstances which make the actual returning of the item difficult.
