Now it's easy to monitor your power usage as you make changes in the types of appliances you use and the times you use them. Do a before-and-after experiment to see how much electricity you save by bumping up your AC thermostat 1 degree or verify that salesman's claims when changing to dual-pane windows. The Envi Home Energy Monitor can even be programmed with your local utility's various rates for different time slots every day. Installation is easy: just place the transmitter inside your circuit breaker box and clamp two induction probes on the main power cables. If you are not extremely comfortable inside your breaker box, please ask a licensed electrician to do this for you.

The display shows current electricity usage; cost per day at present usage and rate; cost savings based on recent changes you have made; a bar graph showing usage during night, day, and evening; usage over the past 30 days; and present time & temperature. The Envi stores up to 7 years of data, and you may connect a USB cable (sold separately) to download your data to a Mac or PC. Use your Envi to monitor electricity from a utility, solar system, wind system, etc. You may use it to monitor usage at your home, vacation home, or office.
