    The fountain pumps the water through a charcoal filter, which absorbs tastes and odors. A pitcher-like spout stands 5" above the floor, creating a long waterfall. The flow control is adjustable, allowing for a gentle cascade, while a grate over the opening prevents kibble from blocking the water flow. The Drinkwell Pet Drinking Fountain is made of safe ABS plastic with convenient side carrying handles, and completely disassembles for regular cleaning.


    Simply fill this self-contained pet drinking fountain with water, plug it into a standard indoor outlet with the included 6' cord, and it is ready to be used. The fountain holds 6 cups of water for your pet; double the capacity to accommodate multiple pets or increase the time between refilling by adding an easy-to-attach, optional 6-cup water reservoir.

    My cat is happier now that he gets "running" water to drink and I am happier now that I don't have to let the faucet drip. I did have to replace the first unit because, after cleaning the motor as directed three times, the seal began to leak. I am not planning on cleaning the new one as often as recommended. I also see that there is a larger reservoir available now than there was when I ordered; I would have gotten the larger one. Order the reservoir, too.

    My kitty and I are SO glad I bought this product!! He hasn't asked for running water from a faucet since it got here. It is totally silent and he LOVED it immediately!     Very nice product. Exactly what I expected it to be. My kitties thank you for providing this. Motor can be a little bit noticeable but you get used to it. Make sure to read all instructions. I had to reinstall motor as it was not installed properly from the manufacturer. Overall great product.

    The stream on the fountain more closely mimics a faucet than many other options, which the cats seem to like better. Could use a bigger standard reservoir (have to buy a bigger one separately, which seems excessive).

    Great product. Our little poodle likes to drink running water and she really likes her new fountain. I got an extra 70 oz. tank for it so it goes a week or more before I need to refill it, and the water stays clear and fresh with the filter. I highly recommend it, but get the extra tank and some extra filters too. Well worth it.
