This remote does everything I had hoped for. It even works with my TIVO wireless remote extenders I got from Weaknees, so I can control even more devices. I use it by my pool and spa to control the Tivo/Pandora Music and control my receiver volume inside the house. I even programmed some buttons to thumbs up/down songs on Pandora. Works perfect, but the distance doesn't go much further than the pool or hot tub, but that's all I really needed.

I really love the remote, when it works. Unfortanately, it dies when the "base station" ambient temperature reaches around 100 degree. I was going to use this with an outdoor TV, here in Arizona. Your customer service was great with shipping me a second unit to make sure it wasn't just an isolated problem. In my house it worked great, but when I moved it to the outside TV the heat got to it... bummer. Thanks for all your support, also, the Balboa technical support was very helpful too.

I'm kind of a captive audience with this remote. Its the only thing on the market. I would think as more people put entertainment in their bathrooms/spas/patios, that there would be a bigger market for water resistant universal remotes. I guess not. Built well, works as promised, but weighs close to a pound and wildly expensive. Dedicated spa keys remind me that this is marketed at the people who will drive a $5000 car but have a $10000 hot tub. Its a $30 learning remote that has been ruggedized.

I have a HotSprings Spa that will not work with this remote. Apparently the electronics with many spas are proprietary. But frankly I only bought the Dolphin because I wanted a waterproof remote for my audio/video equipment. The only complaints I have are the following: - You can't update the codes. Even the most common Directv Receivers are not in the code registry. It does have a learning feature however that allows you to manually enter each key using the original equipment remote. - Number of "learned keys" are limited. If you have more than two components not in the code registry you might be out of luck. - The control center only comes with a single IR emitter - If you have questions the Customer support leaves a lot to be desired Otherwise, I've had it a few weeks and this remote is of excellent quality and is fairly easy to use.

I'm able to control all of my devices from my tub via RF to the command center without issue. Code setup was easy and I had 100% compatibility with my devices. Be warned, if your hot tub has an IR receiver only, this remote will not control your tub. Product support at Smarthome confirmed this.

The product worked exactly as described. Tub is about 30 ft away, in a glass/aluminum gazebo, with no line of sight to the stereo inside the house. Fast delivery, easy install, no problems.

The range is very poor. I don't know if it is the Dolphin Remote itself that is the problem or the RF_IR Control Center that is a problem. When I use the Remote from the hot tub through the glass door to the Control Center which is basically line of sight and it doesn't work properly. It is a big price to pay if the unit doesn't work properly. Yes, I did put brand new Duracell batteries in the Remote and unfortunately there was no change to the poor reception.

Better then I hoped. I say that because I thought it only worked with the command center unit. Witch is great around our pool but not what I wanted to see in our new master bath remodel. But im glad to say customer service was wrong and the remote is both IR and FR directly from the remote so the command center is not needed unless your out of range of a regular remote. Then you need the RF to reach the command center that will relay the info. So that being said, the only down side ive seen so far is that you cant hold the volume button up or down and have the volume actually increase or decrease until you let off the button. You press the volume one way or the other once and it moves the volume one notch. So you have to press repeatedly. But the quality is fantastic, you really know you are holding a substantial piece of equipment and not just some cheap plastic remote. makes you feel its well worth the money and some. wish it was covered in more rubber to protect from dropping on the ground. so far i give it a 99% out of a 100. and i never give a 100% on anything
