Changing Chimes in GE 19208 Wireless Door Chime This Wireless Door Chime version has only 3 dubs, which are housed in the push button extension, and NOT in the main unit. These 3 dubs are used for changing the chimes within the unit. I created this document because I could not find directions anywhere which addressed the exact model design I own. Every instruction I read did NOT mention 3 sound dubs. The instructions given online for my model number only mentioned 7 jumpers, therefore I studied my unit and decided I would share my findings with other people who are being given unusable instructions. First make certain your main chime unit is turned on by facing the front of the unit toward you, and then by checking the switch on the outside of the unit, which will be your right side. Second remove your button extension from wherever you have it and look inside it, and you will clearly see 4 code jumpers and 3 sound dubs. The 3 sound dubs are below the 4 code jumpers, and if all you want to do is to change the chime, then all you need to do is position each dub in accordance with my instructions below. There are 7 chime variations associated with this wireless doorbell model, and there is one setting which will completely turn off all sounds within the unit. However, since there is a turn off switch on the outside side of the main unit it seems pointless to me to remove the push button extension to turn off all sounds, when the entire system can be turned off from the main unit. 1.
