Universal remote controls don't have to be confusing. The Pronto LCD Touchscreen RF Remote has a bright 16-grayscale display that you simply touch to access different A/V devices and commands, so you don't need to remember which button accesses which component. Overview screens provide a list of controlled devices and available pages of commands for each device, and the Pronto universal remote control has 48MB of memory, enough to control every A/V device in your home.

The Pronto LCD Touchscreen RF Remote will do more than turn your TV on and off. Create macros to send sequences of commands with a single button (such as turning on the TV to a specific movie channel and prepare your VCR to record by turning it on and rewinding the tape). You can also create and edit timed actions to be carried out at predefined times. For instance, you can switch on the lights at 6:00 or program your VCR to record your favorite daily TV show. Repeat actions daily or weekly if desired.

The Pronto LCD Touchscreen RF Remote contains a huge list of brands and corresponding IR codes in its database, but this universal remote control can also learn IR codes from your existing remotes. The Pronto can control all kinds of A/V devices and even home automation equipment.

The Pronto can send out both IR and RF signals. Control components within the Pronto's line of sight within 33 feet or add an RF base (sold separately) to operate devices from a greater distance, in an adjacent room, or in a closed cabinet or closet.

Install the included software on your PC, and by connecting the universal touchscreen remote to your computer using the included USB cable, you'll be able to download new configurations to your remote control, change the graphics, create and edit macros, and even preview new configurations prior to implementation. The Pronto LCD Touchscreen RF Remote is also available with a color screen.
