Essential Info

The Dynatron USA CAM-41 Pinhole Camera features a 1/4 inch Sharp CCD sensor covertly placed in what looks like a standard wall sensor. The sensor can even be set up with a TLR that has motion activation to turn on a recorder. A swivel bracket allows you to find the optimum angle from which to observe your chosen area.

Also available without a motion sensor: Dynatron USA CAM-41NP

Note: This item requires a 12V power supply for operation (available separately).

The LUX listed on Smarthome's website is .001. Both on the main page for the product and on the .pdf accessed by clicking: Specification Sheet. The specification sheet that is included with the product on a photocopied piece of paper shows .1 LUX. By my unscientific testing this is NOT a .001 LUX camera. I bought it because of that specification, so I am returning it. Although it would not affect my purchase decision, the ccd turned out to be a 1/3 sony rather than a 1/4 sharp. The connections for this camera are: RCA video. 12V connector that is the standard for video cameras RCA audio 1 pair of screw down terminals for alarm. Other cameras I have seen have separate power for the motion than the camera. I would prefer separate power so that the alarm and the video are completely independent. The video flickers when the motion sensor triggers and I am guessing because the circuits are connected. Smarthome refers the purchasers to the contact the manufacturer for support. But they do not give a link. I did not find a link with a few quick googles.
