Essential Info
The EcoPac from Energy Dynamics is designed for residential use with homes up to 2,500 square feet. It plugs into an AC outlet nearest to the homes meter and runs 24/7/365 to help to reduce the amount of wasted electricity that inductive motor products draw from the utility company. How can it do that and what are inductive motor products? The EcoPac filters incoming power that is being drawn and distributes it to inductive motor products as needed which helps to reduce the amount of wasted electricity drawn by these types of products. This causes a reduction in the amount of actual power drawn form the utility company and thus lowering an electric bill so you more closely pay for that which you are actually using. Some examples of products with inductive motors are air conditioning units, refrigerators, washers, dryers, fans, pool pump and dishwashers so the more of these that are owned the more electricity that is being drawn, paid for, and never used. The EcoPac will help stabilize the voltage coming into the home to make sure you're more accurately charged for what you actually use. The EcoPac will also protect against power line surges and electrical storms and withstand surges up to 440 VAC. It has an operating lifespan of 50,000 hours.

Why are you just now hearing about this kind of product? Because up until recently it wasn't cost effective due to electric rates throughout America being roughly 2, 3 and 4 cents per kilowatt-hour. However, these rates have recently jumped to as much as 22 cents in certain areas, such as New York City, and even as much as 33 cents in Hawaii. With the more expensive rates per kilowatt-hour it is now makes sense to take measures towards saving the electricity that up until recently was not cost-effective to save.
For homes larger than 2,500 square feet the EcoPac can be used in conjunction with the EcoPlug (sold separately) if needed.
