Sylvania's SA 230 is the perfect kit for controlling outside lighting or appliances. The Receiver Module features 2 grounded outlets for control of more than one device. This RF plug-in Receiver is rated for outdoor use, and will not be destroyed when used for this intended application. The Receiver can be located anywhere within 80-feet of the battery-operated, RF Transmitter. The wireless hand-held Transmitter has a compact design, similar to that of a wireless, keyless entry for a car (Referred to as a keyfob). This compact, keyfob design allows you to locate the remote almost anywhere you might need to. Attach the RF Transmitter to your car key's key-ring, so you can activate lighting before you get out of the car; allowing you to safely approach your home in the dark. The SA 230 wireless remote control kit is great for switching On/Off seasonal, holiday lighting, and/or everyday perimeter lighting to provide security and safety. You can use this kit for controlling outdoor appliances as well. The RF Receiver module is capable of powering lighting up to 1,000 watts or appliances up to 13 Amps. This Sylvania wireless RF remote control kit will provide convenience by brining automation to your home in a simple and useful way. You will see savings on energy costs since this wireless kit will help eliminate the wasted power, generated when a device is in "Stand-By" mode. The battery-operated RF Transmitter uses a 12V LR 23 battery (included).
