In the event of an in-home emergency, getting to the telephone can be critical to your well being. Ideal for the elderly, those who live alone, those suffering from hearing loss and those who suffer from or who may be prone to illness or injury, the SOS Alert Phone with Pendant will provide the communication needed in an emergency. The phone works as a regular phone with some pre-programmed advanced features that included a talking keypad, talking caller ID and talking memory dial. A large LCD screen displays all of the information pertaining to your calls and can be displayed in English, French, Italian and Spanish. The standard ringer can be adjusted up to 90 dB and a flashing call indicator alerts you that a call is coming in. What really sets this phone apart is the use of an emergency pendant. If you are in the unfortunate circumstance of being unable to reach the phone in the event of an emergency, you can press the emergency pendant to not only answer a call but to call out up to 30 contacts and play a pre-recorded message letting them know you are in need of help. The pendant has a wireless range of 100 feet, allowing you to be in contact with help from almost anywhere in your home at a moments notice. This product requires the use of four AA batteries (sold separately) as a backup power supply in the event of a power outage.

Receiving a Call
When you receive a call, the telephone rings, the Ringer LED flashes, and the display shows the CALL# and the caller telephone number (with Caller ID service activated), and says the name of the caller if the number matches with a name recorded in the phone book, if not, it will say the numbers of the calling party. This feature allows you to decide to pick up the phone or not depending on who is calling. If you want to talk to the caller:
Volume Boost
The red +40dB BOOST button for the handset allows you to increase volume when needed by up to 40dB; and LED indicator lets you know BOOST is active. Off is the setting to use for people who do not require the level of amplification and tone control offered on the phone.
Tone Control
Tone control allows you to fit your specific hearing needs, so words are clearer and easier to understand. Slide the Tone control DOWN to boost the lower frequency range. Slide the Tone control UP to boost the high frequency range.
Phone Book
The SOS Alert Phone allows you to digitally store a phone number and name as well as record a name for voice prompting.
Phone Line Compatibility
For optimal performance it is recommended that the TALK500ER is used on a conventional phone line. Performance may vary with VOIP or other digital services
Caller ID
If both the caller's name and phone number are received, the display shows the caller's name and phone number; with the time and date it was received. In order to utilize the Caller ID features, you must subscribe to Caller ID service through your local phone company. You can copy Caller ID information to the phone book while you are reviewing the Caller ID information. The phone will store the name/number of up to 64 Caller IDs.
Hearing Aid Compatibility
This unit is compatible with inductively coupled hearing aids and cochlear processors. Adjust your hearing aid's or processor's "T-switch" to the "T" position. Make sure to hold the handset close to your hearing aid or processor.

The SOS Alert Phone uses patent-pending antimicrobial technology to keep their surface cleaner and fresher. It uses the well-known principles of natural silver ion release and only incorporates EPA registered and FDA listed antimicrobials.
Remote Pendant
The phone comes with one remote pendant for emergency; you can pair up to a total of five pendants to your phone. You can pre-record a message up to 20 seconds in length that will distributed to up to 30 phone numbers in the event of an emergency and activate the speakerphone for up to three minutes.
Important Note: SOS Alert Phone with Pendant does not guarantee that you will make contact or receive help. The Talk500ER is only an aid to assist you in calling for help. It should be tested regularly to ensure proper delivery of your pre-recorded emergency message when activated by the Emergency Button or pendant.
CAUTION: The phone is capable of amplifying sounds to a loud volume. It is advised to adjust the volume control to its minimum level when not in use and alert other users that hearing damage can potentially result from misuse.
