Essential Info
Door monitors are a convenient way to check who's at the door without walking through the entire house. But it can be just as inconvenient to walk to the room that houses the monitor! Expand your Panasonic Video Door Main Monitor intercom system by adding up to two expansion monitors, and you'll be able to monitor your visitors from multiple rooms in your home. Combining video and intercom functions, the Panasonic Video Door Intercom Expansion Monitor offers a host of functions that make it easy for you and family members to see who's outside. The Video Door Intercom Main Monitor is required for this system and is sold separately. At least one door camera is also required for this system and is sold separately.

Your visitors will contact you by pressing the doorbell button. To view and hear from any monitor, just press the monitor button. Indoor sounds won't be heard outside, but you can press the talk button to speak to your guests. If you're holding your kids or are working in the kitchen, you can set the monitor to hands-free operation. This function lets you answer without having to press a button. You can also use these door monitors as a complete intercom system, talking among the main monitor and expansion monitors.
The large color LCD monitor has automatic brightness compensation and adjustable contrast. In dim evening light, the image displayed is brightened automatically. At night, an infrared LED in the camera unit lets you see your visitor's face from approximately 19 inches (50cm) away in clear black and white imagery.
If you're using the Video Door Intercom Main Monitor and Expansion Monitors to protect your business, you can connect them to your Panasonic PBX system, which will allow you to answer door calls from any connected telephone. The Video Door Intercom Monitors are compatible with the 8 x 24 Phone System, 8 x 16 Phone System and 8 x 48 Phone System (all sold separately), among others.
Monitor the sound and camera image from the door station for up to one minute at a time. You can also let visitors in without leaving the monitor by connecting a normally open electric door strike to your door. This is especially convenient when you're hosting a party.
The Video Door Intercom Expansion Monitor can be surface mounted to your wall. If desired, you can also mount it flush with your wall using the Recessed Mounting Kit (sold separately).
If you don't need the expansion option, try the Video Door Intercom Monitor, a non-expandable system that supports one door camera. Door cameras are available in silver and gold.
