This sophisticated network video recorder (NVR) can meet your needs today and grow with you as your requirements change over the years. This NVR combines three functions in one device: digital recording of video feeds, multiplexing, and simultaneous transmission. Everything can be done via Internet Explorer - initial setup, maintenance, and remote viewing of the video feeds. Its 1TB hard drive uses the first in-first out (FIFO) method to store all video until the drive is full, then begins to overwrite the oldest data. Pre- and post-alarm video is stored as higher-priority data, so will not be overwritten by normal recording. Built-in motion detection conserves storage space, or configure it to record continuously, and can be configured to monitor only certain areas. You can control any pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) cameras to a preset "virtual patrol" mode, where they continuously sweep an area (camera must be rated as "continuous duty"), or to go to a preset position upon an alarm event.
