Increase home security and let visitors in more easily with these electric door strikes that replace your existing strike plate with an electro-mechanical release mechanism. Wire one in series with a low-voltage push-button switch, an X10 Universal Module or the relay release of an intercom system, and your visitors will be able to push or pull the door open when power is applied. You can also connect them to a keypad, alarm system or other entry system. Runs off of 8-16VAC . 16VAC Power Supply (#5191) sold separately.

The electric door strike produces a buzzing sound when power is applied. This is useful in notifying the person at the door that they can now enter. For a non-buzzing version try our 12VDC version.
Both versions are reversible for left- or right-handed doors. Once installed, the door can still be operated using a key. Both strikes remain locked when un-powered. Brass finish.
