The value of this lock is excellent since this is the 2nd one I have purchased. The first one broke or wore out after 10 years on daily use. Installation was very easy since I was replacing a existing lock. I would like to have another lock at some point in time because they operate with ease.

Easy to install. Reliable.

Basically a solid performer; 6 of us used it 24/7. This was a 2yr replacement as the latch stopped retracting fully.

I like the product and intend to use it, however, to me the term deadbolt means a lock that cannot be operated manually from either side. Deadbolts are used in applications where there are breakable windows in the door, and prevents entry by simply breaking the glass and turning the handle from the inside. If this product were a true deadbolt, it would have no handle on the inside. It would only be operable with the key or with another touchpad on the inside. That said, it is no worse than the situation on other glass doors with no deadbolt, so I will use it. Furthermore, I'm a bit concerned that the small, fine threaded screw that holds the cover on (and which must be removed and replaced each time the touchpad is programmed) will eventually get lost or stripped and the cover will no longer go back on properly. If instructions for reprogramming are not provided on the inside of that cover, they should be.

Easily installed into previous mounting holes. No problems.

It had 2 different dimensions for locating the spot for the 15/16" hole, based on the size of the style of the door. I had to use the 2-3/" distance from the edge of the door. This did not give the lock enough room to pivot at the top of the hole. I had to bore out a slot in the top of the hole for it to function properly.

Difficult to install and the instructions are barely adequate.

Easy to install and program codes.

expected it to be a little sturdier; however, contemplating purchasing another one.
