Lock the deadbolt on the outside either with or without a key. The inside unit locks and unlocks like a normal deadbolt. This single-cylinder deadbolt is keyed on one side, and it's highly resistant to attempted break-ins, protecting your home much more than would a door without a deadbolt installed. This kit also includes a matching doorknob to replace your existing knob.
