If you're like most people, you're probably frustrated when fumbling with multiple keys late at night, or when you're juggling grocery bags. The Fingerprint Keypad Lock combines a conventional cylinder lockset with state-of-the-art fingerprint-reading circuitry and a digital keypad. You'll be able to keep your keys in your pocket or purse and open the door by simply pressing the sensor with your registered fingerprint, or you can key in your PIN on the keypad. Electronic access is also great for housekeepers and guests — anyone you'd rather not have a key. Made specifically for right-sided door-mounting options (the handle points right when you are facing the sensor), this Adel Lock Fingerprint Keypad will save you time and headaches. This Adel lock requires 4 AA alkaline batteries (sold separately). The Adel Lock Fingerprint Keypad is also available for left-facing doors.

With a single latch mortise, installation of this fingerprint door lock is both simple and quick. The Fingerprint Keypad Lock can store up to 120 different fingerprints to allow access for family members, employees, cleaning staff, friends, and more. A super integrated circuit chip easily allows a full-function program of enrolling and erasing fingerprints.

Restrict Access by Fingerprint or Code
This indoor-only lock is excellent for meeting rooms, storage areas or anywhere it's impractical or undesirable to distribute keys to everyone requiring access. The Adel Lock Fingerprint Keypad eliminates the problem of unauthorized keys being cut at the local hardware store — simply dis-enroll fingerprints or change PIN at will.

Durable
The Adel Lock Fingerprint Keypad is made of a chrome surface and casting steel construct body for durability. In the event of an emergency, the lock may be opened by mechanical key.

Please note: Install on wood doors only, with thickness between 38mm (1.5") and 55mm (2 1/6"). If the door surface is decorated, the distance between the decorative edge and the edge of the door must be over 120mm (4 3/4").

The Adel Lock Fingerprint Keypad is also available in gold and silver.

I purchased this item to satisfy security requirements for my home office, and I am very happy with the relatively low cost and high quality. The programming of the fingers is easy, and I have yet to have a false or rejected reading. The hardware is very strong and appears durable. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a secure room where they live and/or work!

After purchasing the lock burried in the instructions is the statement that the lock is for interior doors. Such information should appear in the sales copy.

The product itself is wonderful. I really like having a keyless entry (we put it on our garage to the house door). The only thing I did not like was the manual for installation. You definately need a bit of common sense the way these instructions are written, as the instructions may end up confusing you. I ended up using my previous door main bolt (not sure the name of the part) because the ones it came with were the same size and both were too large. Hitting the 0 key before scanning your print isn't a big deal (nice actually because it saves on the battery). Overall, very satisfied.

Installation was pretty easy although the instructions weren't very clear for installation (it was clear for the programming of the codes/prints). You have to use a little common sense for the defficient instructions, otherwise the product works great! I probably wouldn't use the manufacturer's batteries that are included, but rather put some extra long lasting lithium batteries inside.

I've used a similar fingerprint system. I would like to warn that, if used outside, they sometimes will not recognize a finger in cold weather if your fingers are cold. Just a warning, this one may be improved from that issue. The one I used was replaced by a hand scanner that used mirrors instead, which worked at all temperatures.

1. Very easy to install as a replacement door handle. 2. Solid, professinally designed with professional appearance. 3. Requires key-code to turn on sensor vs/on-button; Can be set to '0' or any combination of single to 4 digits, however. (Provides EXTRA security, as sensor won't function w/o correct start code.) 4. REQUIRES 11-digit MASTER OPEN/PROGRAM code, beginning/ending with specific digits <- Drawback, but minor. Your fingers will be 'off to the races' trying to punch the squence in the 8-seconds alloted. 5. Koreo-English manual could be improved, but understandable after several re-reads. 6. Don't drink & drive while programming, you'll wreck for sure :-) Overall very satisfied with the product. Purchasing experience with Smarthome has been outstanding. Now I just need to figure out where to get the $$$ for all the other gadgets they sell!

This item did not meet my expectations due to the necessity to enter a code and use fingerprint to open the door. However, my experience with Smarthome as a company has been very positive.

The instructions DID NOT mention that the square tube can only be placed in the lock in one direction. This caused several hours of tinkering to discover the correct direction, but the lock works great. Thank you
