The optical biometric reader scans fingerprints at a resolution of 500 dots per inch (DPI), making it extremely secure. Up to 99 unique users can be given access to the door lock, making it easy for you to decide which family, friends, neighbors, or employees will have access to your home or business. Once a user fingerprint has been scanned into memory using the simple interface, that fingerprint will be recognized and the door will unlock anytime the user places their finger on the durable fingerprint optical sensor/reader in the future. You can add or delete users at anytime, and if you are having a party, you can turn the biometric function off so that the door lock opens freely. This lockset is designed to fit any door with a thickness from 1 5/32" to 2 3/8", and the door handle is reversible for right or left handed applications. An infrared (IR) remote is also included with this lockset, allowing you to wirelessly unlock the door from inside your home or business while relaxing on your couch or sitting at a desk. The remote is uniquely coded to the door lock and will work from up to 15 meters away. The door lock requires the use of four AA batteries and the handheld remote control requires the use of two AAA, each sold separately.

Hands-On Research
This biometric lock outperforms all of the locks I've tested, even those with a higher price tag. With other biometric locks, I've always found that the reliability of reading my fingerprint on the first try was about 50%. I had all but given up on biometric lock technology until I tried the BIOREMOTE. The scanner was 95% reliable in opening the lock on the first scan, and was nearly 100% reliable when an automatic second scan was taken as I was able to move my finger around until the scanner was able to see enough of my finger to make a match. I tested this with several co-workers with the same accuracy. I also like that it comes with an IR remote control so you can remotely let visitors in from inside your home. Unlike other similar locks, you can delete one person without having to erase everyone in memory and if you are having guests, you can override the need to read a fingerprint to open the lock and will unlock the door simply by pressing the entry button. This one works as biometric locks should!
