The TV Messenger has a 14 caller log that stores name, number, date, time and number of times they called. A red LED will light when there are callers in the log. If you subscribe to phone company voicemail, the LED will blink when messages are waiting.
The TV Messenger plugs between the VIDEO IN RCA jack of your TV and the VIDEO OUT jack of your cable box, VCR, etc. It requires Caller ID service from your phone company.
The TV Messenger with Remote (5151R) comes with a 4-button remote that allows you to scroll and delete items in the log from the comfort of your sofa. The IR codes from this remote can be learned by most learning remotes. Additionally, this version includes call waiting Caller ID.
A Channel 3/4 Modulator allows you to use TV Messenger with TVs that do not have RCA video in jacks.
Tip: Now you can have a telephone jack anywhere in your home and not run any cables. Our Wireless Internet Jack System can add a telephone outlet anywhere in your home in just moments. The kit consists of a two major parts. A transmitter, which is plugged into an electricity jack near an existing phone, will convert telephone signals, including Caller ID information, into radio signals. The second component, a receiver, is plugged into electricity near the TV. It can also be used with satellite dish receivers and hard drive recorders (like TiVo™ and Replay TV™) that need to go on-line to exchange data periodically.
