A Schlage Nexia Z-Wave Bridge acts as the brain for your Nexia Home Intelligence system by bridging the communication gap between Z-Wave enabled devices and your home router. Upon connecting the Bridge to the home router users will now have the ability to control Nexia compatible Z-Wave devices throughout their home via a web-enabled mobile device or computer (remote management subscription required). Though Nexia Home Intelligence products will work on their own, they require the Bridge to communicate with one-another and to be controlled remotely. The Z-Wave Bridge is able to wirelessly communicate with up to 232 Nexia compatible Z-Wave devices giving users control of their home at any time, home or away.
Z-Wave enabled devices are easily enrolled into the Nexia Bridge by holding the Bridge within six feet of the device and pressing the pairing button for each. LED indicator lights will signal when the device has been successfully enrolled or if another attempt is needed. After being enrolled the average communication range of a Z-Wave product with the Bridge is 60 - 100 feet and all communications are securely encrypted.
* Note: Remote management directly from your mobile device or computer with Nexia Home Intelligence requires a monthly subscription of $8.99 which can be activated with the manufacturer at any time upon setup of product. This standard subscription plan is really the best way to truly automate every aspect of your home and provides you with the most flexibility to run your home from wherever.
