    The Caller ID with Ring Controller gives you total control over your telephone. This fully programmable unit lets you decide who can ring your phone and only lets them through when you want to talk. When a call comes in, the microprocessor checks the caller's relationship from your preset phone number lists to determine whether to allow your phone to ring or not. Then, depending on who is calling and what time of day it is, the phone will ring or remain silent based on your wishes.

    The database stores up to 270 phone numbers and names, which can be programmed in using the easy-to-read four-line LCD or just saved from the Caller ID memory, which stores caller information from the last 100 calls. Designate whether you want your callers stored on your A-List, B-List, or R-List: A-List callers will always get through; B-List callers can call during the daily hours you specify; and R-List callers will be rejected, no matter how often they try! Changing caller status is easy, should you change your mind, and you can bypass the device if desired, if you're expecting a call from a number normally on the reject list.

    The A-List and B-List also serve as your personal phone book, connected directly to your phone and putting everyone you know in your speed dial, ensuring there are no more misdialed calls. You can search through this 250-number list by typing in the first characters of the caller's last name.

    The Caller ID with Ring Controller has three colored indicator lights to show the caller's status, making it possible from across the room to determine whether to pick up the phone. Additional features include data protection, so you won't lose your database in the event of a power failure. No batteries are required. The Caller ID with Ring Controller works for fax machines, as well. You'll never again get an ad faxed through that you don't want!

    The Caller ID with Ring Controller is also available in black. Caller ID is a service provided by your phone company for a fee.

    Great value for nuisance calls. Good companies can now hire telemarketers via the "prior business relationship" loop hole in the DNC rules. The can legally call you every day. If these guys banged on your home door, you could have them arrested. But they can go into your home every and any day they wanr by phone. This gizmo stops them cold. Wish someone made something like this years ago.

    Recommend. I'd really give it 4 1/2 stars if I could because while it does the job perfectly, it does have a few problems. First, imputing all the phone numbers is a pain. If you could upload phone numbers from a computer, it would be a big plus in setting it up. Second, when the device is connected, the phones it controls no longer have Caller ID function even if they have the capability for it. Finally, we ended up buying new phones. We put the device in line before the phone base and plug both into a jack. This way it will work for the wireless extension phones which come with the base. However, other phones plugged into jacks are not controlled by the device and will still ring. The upside to this is that we turn the ringers on when we want to be sure to hear a call from someone whose phone number we don't know - the cell phone of a repairman for instance. Despite the problems, overall we are very satisfied - it has STOPPED the unwanted phone calls!

    If you have a teenager, this is a great tool. We bought a longer phone cord so that we could hide the device in a cabinet under the phone. That way no one knew it was in the house and we could block unwanted calls from other teenagers, scam artists, and all blocked numbers. Unfortunately if you hide it, you won't be able to see caller id, but that was fine for us. Must have a phone with multiple handsets (like phones you bought all together in a box) or the non-uniform phone will continue to ring. We ended up having to get rid of the 2nd floor and basement phones because they kept ringing.

    This box works great as a call blocker. I was able to program in (or learn from calls already logged in the box) allowed phone numbers that phone to ring. All other callers show on the call display, but do not ring the phone. Now my elderly mother gets ZERO spam calls.

    This item does what it says. It really blocks unwanted calls. The caller only hears the phone ring and ring. The receiving phone doesn't ring at all.

    This caller ID box is awesome. It really does keep unwated callers from bothering you. I would recommend it to anybody. I am a student and was having problems with family and friends calling at the worst time. Just turning the ringer off my phone still made my answering machine beep and distract me. I know they didn't intentionally call to bug me. The caller id box is the perfect solution because you cannot tell if someone is calling so you are not bother while trying to do important tasks.

    Make it more white! Make more room for "Reject" numbers. The limit now is 20. The main thing I use it for is to stop the first ring. I use "Audio Caller ID" on my computer to block unlimited number of calls but it does not block the first ring.

    I'm very pleased with the Ring Controller. We get a lot of solicitors, often more than 5 calls per day and it's been very annoying in the past. But now our phone doesn't even ring. I do have one suggestion though, and that is when we input numbers into the database, please allow us to use the wild-card for all numbers under an entire area code. The reason for this is there are political organizations in the D.C. area (code = 202) that solicit for donations, and I'd like to block out the entire area code. Installation was straight forward--I'm glad you have the diagrams that shows where to connect the answering machine. I probably wouldn't have gotten that one right if you didn't include a diagram.

    Works great and easy to install. It blocks all of the unwanted calls. However, I wish that it did more. It only works with 1 phone unless you attach it to your inbound line before connecting it to the phone network. The other problem is that it doesn't let the caller ID info pass through the box. It displays it on the box but not on the phone, which is why I didn't conect it to my network. In order to have caller ID on the remaining phones, I would have to have a box for each phone. But it does work and for a reasonable price.
