SmartCode allows you to upgrade to a more convenient, more controllable keyless entry. Using your own personal code, you can enter your home with just a few simple pushes of a button and lock it with just one. You also get more control over who has access to your home. Just assign a temporary code to whoever needs one and delete it when you see fit. Now you can totally eliminate the need for keys, making it easy for family, friends or neighbors to enter your home while you are away. The SmartCode touchpad electronic lever, adds a level of security and style to your home . Designed with a sleek style to complement your home’s interior, you can lock up your home office, wine cellar or storage room and never have to worry about keys. To gain entry, simply enter your personalized access code, while locking is as easy as touching a button. The lockset also includes SmartKey Re-Key Technology with BumpGuard Protection. Kwikset's SmartKey re-key technology provides you the flexibility to re-key your own locks quickly and easily without removing them from your door. Re-key your SmartKey locks as frequently as you wish while maintaining the highest level of security. The lever is reversible, so the lockset will fit left or right swing doors. This lock is powered by four AA batteries, sold separately. This product is also available with Home Connect technology (sold separately), which can be connected to security systems, home control systems, and accessed remotely through a mobile device or secured internet connection. There's a new, smarter way to connect to your home, it's called Home Connect Technology. This technology works by allowing your front door lock to wirelessly talk to other things in your house, such as the security system, lighting, thermostat, and entertainment system. Home Connect locks from Kwikset use Z-Wave communication, so they can be controlled or trigger other devices on a Z-wave network.
