Essential Info

There's a new, smarter way to connect to your home, it's called Home Connect Technology. This technology works by allowing your front door lock to wirelessly talk to other things in your house, such as the security system, lighting, thermostat, & entertainment system. This fully automated SmartCode Z-Wave Deadbolt secures your home with a new level of functionality that provides security and convenience and can be integrated into a Z-Wave network. Up to 30 different access codes can be programmed into the deadbolt to give family members quick, keyless access while at the same time allow for temporary pin's to given to those needing one-time access. The motorized deadbolt installs in minutes to replace an existing deadbolt. No hardwiring is required because the deadbolt uses 4 AA Batteries, sold separately.

The Deadbolt includes SmartKey Re-Key Technology with BumpGuard Protection. Kwikset's SmartKey re-key technology provides you the flexibility to re-key your own locks quickly and easily without removing them from your door. Re-key your SmartKey locks as frequently as you wish while maintaining the highest level of security.

    This worked well when I installed it, but because of the bulk behind the door, my wife didn't approve, so it needed to be returned. At least smarthome was easy to work with for returns.

    easy install. works like a charm. design will fit above schlage z wave 599 lever door lock (schlage own non motorized link dead bolt can not fit on the same door with there own link door lock)had to return it because it is incompatible with schlage link system even though both are z wave based. imagine will work just fine with Mi Casa verdi

    Purchased this lockset to integrate into our ADT Pulse security and home automation system. Works as expected. Allows us to ensure the front door is locked whenever we arm the alarm system and also remotely lock/unlock from our Android phones.

    I bought this to integrate with my new GE Simon XT alarm system and the online monitoring after we had a break in (SafeMart.com and Alarm.com). It works well and I'm pleased with the purchase. Pros: Easy install and setup, fits multiple standard door drill holes, can be set to lock automatically, can link to auto disarm my alarm when unlocked via code, motorized so I can lock or unlock remotely (unlike Schlage model which can be set to deny or allow lock/unlock but requires someone to turn it). Cons: Buttons are doubled up (1-2,3-4, ...) so there are effectively 625 4-digit codes instead of 10,000 if there were 10 buttons. We decided to use an 8-digit code.

    Purchased Kwikset Smartcode with Xanboo z-wave gateway, but it is NOT compatible. Black & Decker Kwikset mfr support blamed Xanboo and vice versa. Lock installed without issue and operates as expected in all other respects.

    This works well, but both Kwikset and Smarthome are very careful not to show the interior view in profile. It's extremely bulky and did not pass the wife approval factor for me. At least returns through smarthome were very easy. The only reason this loses stars for me is the size of the interior portion.

    Purchased the lock for our Pulse install from ADt. came to find out the lock is not supported. At the moment no locks are. Still lock is great, easy to use w.o issue
