great product, however the unit has from time to time some echos and squealing when you ring the door bell and before you answer. factory provided a replacement quickly. I would buy again.

We love it now that we finally have it installed, but it took weeks to get to that point. It's not nearly as easy to install as some say, but that might have been due to a couple of relatively unusual factors for us. First of all, we have DSL, which means we need to ensure that we're putting the controller ahead of the phones, not the computer. That calls for ensuring that the two are not using the same phone line. Second, the phone wiring in this house was in two, separate circuits, with one being the original and serving most of the house, and the second done by a previous owner. We were working forever to make this unit work with the latter, which is much more accessible, when the phones we wanted to use for door answering were on the former. Hours and hours of work were expended with the interior wiring, switching polarities and everything, until it dawned on us that we weren't even using the right circuit. It was literally nightmare time. Customer service was of minimal value. If you don't intimately know your phone system or how phones work, get an installer or prepare to spend tons of hours figuring it out with minimal instructions. But with the first answer to a door knock with our phone, we loved it all the same.

After my father passed away in July 09 my mother was in the house alone most of the time. She is not that mobile so I was looking into intercoms for the door so she could answer it from whereever she was. At first I thought of a wireless intercom but that would mean she would have to be near the inside box. Then I came across the Fon Door System. It is perfect for her since it rings all the phones in the house with a special ring so she knows it is someone at the door. This really works well for UPS or FedEx who won't leave a package w/o a signature. Many times she wouldn't hear the bell since it was so far away and she would find the note on the door that they tried to deliver a package. Now she can talk to them even if she is in the back yard from her portable phone. It works really well. Hopefully it will last a long time.

Great product!! This is a replacement for one that finally wore out after six years.

The Doorbell Fon is a very good value for the price. The install was very simple as stated. It works great for what it is. However I wish the casing and button looked better. Overall it is a good product!

every thing i expected could not ask for better quality or support

The product is just what I wanted. I dont need to run to the door to see who it is - very helpful in a large home. Also if I am not ready to open the door I can tell the visitor to wait for a minute or two..
