This iChime Doorbell replaces your current chime and gives you a choice of sounds to announce your visitors. Choose from the pre-programmed selections, record your own tune with the built-in microphone, record using iPod, CD Player, PC, or MP3 with line-in jack.

Includes chimes, holiday, halloween, favorites, fun sounds, and special occasion.

The iChime Doorbell is powered by 4 AA batteries, sold separately.

    Announce your visitors in style, to custom music or sounds that you create yourself, or choose from six built-in catergories of songs, sound effects, and even voice phrases. This electronic door chime is designed to replace the normal wired mechanical door bell in your home. It supports a front door button (both lighted and non-lighted) as well as a back door button (optional). It can be setup to play any particular song or sound, or for more variety, it can sequence through any one of six different groups: Classic Chimes, Holiday, Halloween, Old Favorites, Fun Sounds, and Special Occasions. But the real versatility of this doorbell comes with its unique programmable feature. Using the built in microphone or the audio input jack, you can easily record or download up to 6 different songs or sounds - whatever you want! Total recording time is 60 seconds using state of the art flash memory. No more annoying ding dongs. Program songs for family events such as birthdays or anniversaries. Have it play your school fight song. Switch it to Holiday songs for your guests at your Christmas party. Have it scream or howl for Halloween. Record your favorite TV theme or movie catch phrase. The possibilities are endless. This product is limited only by your own imagination. iChime is truly the "Play Anything" doorbell!

    This door bell has a lot of features and a lot of sounds to choose from. Were it not for this fact, I'd have given it a lower rating due to very poor build quality and relatively poor sound quality. I received mine with a non-functioning volume switch. I found no mention of a warranty in the product documentation. Though I'm sure Smarthome would have replaced it without any problem, I decided to see if I could fix the problem myself. Luckily, I was able to.

    It is super easy to install and it plays great. We had a little trouble recording all our songs because we used up too much memory, but we got it figured out. It's very fun to have.

    Pros: Easy installation - sounds good. Cons: Only 10 seconds recording time - Volume control Overall this is a nice product. Would be excellent if it had more recording time and volume. Intallation was quick and easy.

    Sound quality isn't great. I would have expected it to be better than what it is. The sounds don't sound clear and I havent tried recording my own music. That, hopefully will change the quality. Sound choices are good and would like to have a volume that is louder.

    Arrived very quickly. It's a little quirky because we installed it without using the transformer install and sometimes the bell rings when we turn on the light or disposal (which are on the same wall as the doorbell). Also the sound is not actually as good as the sound on the internet. But it's a fun item to have.

    The iChime is exactly what I had been looking for and purchased it immediately. Overall it is a decent and definitely fun product. My main complaint and the reason why I'm only giving it 3 stars, is the sound quality. You will definitely need one or two extra auxiliary speakers as it is not nearly loud enough to hear that someone is ringing the doorbell. Also the speaker is crap so when you turn the volume all the way up it sounds like it's going to blow. Recording in your own music requires a little bit of trial and error. You will need a male to male audio cable, don't even bother attempting to hold the unit up to a speaker and record that way. It also requires 4 AA batteries which seems like overkill. They claim the batteries last forever but mine already died while I was recording in my own doorbells. As long as you are willing to hook up extra speakers, I'm going to say it's still worth a purchase because of the fun factor.

    Works well, lots of built in selections, easy to record your own sounds into. Could use more volume, a two story house may require the "auxiliary speaker". Far more enjoyable and fun than a standard doorbell/chime.
