Catch-A-Call allows you to remain online as long as you wish without missing a call. When a call is detected, Catch-A-Call will ring and flash a light. If you have Call Waiting ID, a window will open on your computer screen, and you will see the caller's name and number, as well as the date and time. You can choose to ignore the call or answer it. If you decide to answer, simply pick up the phone, and Catch-A-Call will place your computer connection on hold for up to 30 seconds. If the caller is one you do not wish to receive calls from again, simply click on the appropriate button on the ID dialog box to block the caller from interrupting your online experience.
Catch-A-Call also features a built-in fax switcher. This function will take care of all of your faxing needs automatically, whether you're online or not, attended or unattended. When online, if you receive a call and decide to answer, the unit will listen for a fax tone and automatically transfer fax calls to your machine.
While not online, Catch-A-Call MAX will handle incoming calls according to your needs. You can have the unit automatically answer the incoming calls and send faxes to the fax machine and the voice calls will cause the unit to ring. Or Catch-A-Call can allow you to answer incoming calls, and if there is a fax tone, the unit will automatically send the incoming fax to your fax machine.
If you use Distinctive Ringing Service, the Catch-A-Call MAX will adhere to your selected ring tones. Call Waiting, Call Waiting ID and Distinctive Ringing Service are all services provided by your phone company for a fee. Call Waiting is required for using the Catch-A-Call MAX online call waiting service. The optional online caller ID function requires Call Waiting ID.
