Essential Info

The PeepHole Viewer uses an LCD panel to display who is at your door. It turns a hard-to-see PeepHole image into a big bright image.

Simple One Button Operation
  • Press the Power button under the LCD panel to turn on the viewer and see clearly who’s at the door.
  • The first push of the Power button will put the PeepHole Viewer into "Regular" view mode.
  • If the button is pressed a second time while the viewer is still on, the display will go into "Zoomed View."
  • Repeated pressing of the button causes the viewer to rotate between the two viewing modes: "Regular" and "Zoom."
  • The viewer will turn off automatically after 10 seconds to conserve battery life. Any press of the button will restart the timer for 10 seconds.

  • "Regular" - Regular display mode shows a field of view similar to that of a digital camera.
  • "Zoom" - Zoom display mode enlarges the center of the PeepHole field of view for viewing facial details.
Low Battery
  • When the batteries are low, the Red Low Battery Light will flash.

Overall installation was simple but alignment was a bit tricky setting the view so the image was centered properly. Initially the view was aimed too high. Had to use a self-designed shim to get it right. Display plenty bright enough. As someone has mentioned, if there's a light source (lamp or sun) behind the visitor, it's more difficult to make out who it is. Zoom works well.

Overall, I like the operation of this unit. It does come on quickly, and the batteries seem to last quite a while (this will of course depend on usage). I find, however, the view angle could be a little better. If you look through the peephole without the viewer attached, you can see a larger field of view. It is easy to use, and you don't have to be on top of the door, you can be 18" away. I liked it enough to not send it back. Harvey Gordon

This is one good item that I brought, as you know crime is where up. This peephole view gives me a little more peace of mind. I can view a person a lot better than regular peepholes.

Very good, easy to install and use, provides a measure of safety. It needs light so at night you must o turn on a light by the door at least prior to using it.

We installed the PeepHolel on a metal door. Installation was easy. The view is a tad shaded, but that is due to the angle of our door with the outside light. What a fun upgrade to a regular peephole!

The PeepHole Veiwer was easy to install and works great! No more distored views of "whatever" is on the other side of the door. It even works well in low light conditions and gives us a better peace of mind.

The only advantage this has over a standard peephole is the person outside can't tell someone is looking through it. The field of view is less than a regular peephole. Also, it doesn't deal well with high contrast light situations. I found it rather large and obtrusive for the relatively small screen size. I ended up returning it and replacing it with an $8 peephole from the hardware store.
