However, if you have long runs between comonents most normal HDMI cables will suffer from picture degradation. Because of this, long lengths of HDMI cable can be expensive. The Icarus IHT-HDMEXT HDMI In-Line Powered Extender solves this problem by combining shorter lengths of HDMI and powering the signal between them. This way, the signal will reach much further distances without signal attenuation (loss). The HDMI In-Line Powered Extender Supports High Definition Resolutions of 1080p, 1080i, 720p and 480p. If the installation does not call for a really long length but you still need to combine HDMI cables, a Coupler is also available.
