Essential Info
Getting the most out of your home theater equipment means having the right components to deliver high quality audio and video. The Panamax M8-HT Power Line Surge Protector takes the power from your outlets/receptacles and uses a cleaning and filtration process that eliminates common symptoms of contaminated power (including loss of detail, pops, hisses, hums and visual artifacts), allowing your A/V equipment to perform up to its full capability. Panamax's patent pending Automatic Voltage Monitoring (AVM) circuitry protects equipment against prolonged over/under voltages by disconnecting the power and reconnecting it when safe power returns, eliminating service calls or system downtime. There are eight AC outlets with large, transformer type spacing all located on an adjustable power bar. Panamax's exclusive Protect or Disconnect circuitry completely disconnects AC power to connected equipment in the event of a catastrophic surge such as lightning. This surge protector also has LED indicators identifying: 'Unsafe Voltage', 'Power On/Protection OK', and 'Ground OK' feedback. Surge protection and noise filtering are also built-in to protect coaxial connectors for your HD cable or satellite receiver and your telephone lines

Energy Absorption/Dissipation This rating, given in joules, tells you how much energy the surge protector can absorb before it fails. A higher number indicates greater protection. Look for a protector that is at least rated at 200 to 400 joules. For better protection, look for a rating of 600 joules or more. The Panamax M8-HT Power Line Surge Protector is rated at 1650 joules.
Other Features
- CATV/Satellite Connectors: Three (3) sets of IN /OUT, universal coaxial connectors
- One In Telco connector (RJ-11) and two (2) Out Telco Connectors (RJ-11)
- Unsafe Voltage LED (Red) normally OFF; flashes when lit, indicates that incoming voltages are unsafe and the surge protector has disconnected the power to connected equipment.
- Power ON/Protection OK LED (Green) normally ON; indicates that the surge protector is functioning properly and that all connected equipment is protected.
- Ground OK LED (Green) normally ON; indicates that the wall outlet is properly wired and grounded.
