The X10 RF Receiver to RS-232 Adapter is designed to work with most home automation software programs like HCA Standard, HCA Plus, HomeSeer, Indigo, Xtension, MisterHouse and PowerHome. When connected to a PC's RS-232 port, the X10 RF Receiver to RS-232 Adapter will receive and respond to X10 RF commands sent from standard X10 remotes such as X10 RF Remotes, Leviton DHC RF Handheld Remotes, X10 5-in-1 Remotes, X10 Keychain remotes, X10 Wireless Wall Switches, Version II Wireless X10 Motion Sensors and more. The X10 RF Receiver also supports extended RF commands, such as those transmitted by X10's "Entertainment Anywhere" remotes and X10 security modules such as the Long Range Wireless PIR Motion Sensor and the Long Range Wireless Door/Window Sensor with Homeseer.
Incredible Wireless Range
Packaged with an external whip antenna and a 12' coax connecting cable for optimum placement, the X10 RF Receiver to RS-232 Adapter will pick up signals from X10 transmitters up to 100 ft. away. We recommend up to 100 ft. of coax may be used if you stick to the low loss RG6 variety. If you need to go further, then an amplifier is suggested.
