More Info
|
Setting up the X10 RF - UPB Transceiver is easy. You will need a PC with Windows 98 or later as your OS and a serial port, the downloaded configuration software, and the supplied RS232 cable.
Connect the X10 RF - UPB Transceiver to your PC to assign the UPB address mapping and program X10 code filtering. Once these have been set, the X10 RF - UPB Transceiver can be disconnected from the PC and it will respond to UPB signals just like any other UPB-connected device. The X10 RF - UPB Transceiver does not have to be connected to a PC for everyday operation.
Packaged with an external whip antenna, the X10 RF - UPB Transceiver will pick up signals from any X10 RF transmitter within its 150-foot range and is equipped with the ability to filter specific house and unit codes, since its vast range may pick up a neighbor's X10 remote. It's even safe for outdoor use if mounted in a weatherproof enclosure.
Requires a Powerline Interface ModuleThe X10 RF - UPB Transceiver needs an interface to send its signals into your power lines. Use the HAI UPB Powerline Interface Module or the Simply Automated Computer UPB Interface Module (sold separately).
