the price was high, but I guess it's hard to argue supply & demand since you're the only one's that still carry it. Arrived promptly and worked like a charm

I had installed one of these a few years ago and it solved all of my X-10 communication issues. My X-10 controller is plugged into a duplex in the den (not the one with the computer power surge protector of course). We have many X-10 light switches and lamp controllers on both phases. A lighting storm apparently took out the former HCA02-10E, so I purchased am X-10 Pro XPCR phase coupler. It did not solve the problem. I then purchased two HCA02-10E units, so I would have a spare, and now everything is back to normal.

Without this coupler-repeater, there were parts of our house that X-10 signals wouldn't reliably reach. I tried coupling the phases with disc capacitors, which improved the situation marginally. Once I installed this device X-10 worked reliably through out the house. That was 3 years ago. But, unfortunately, that unit recently failed (that is why I rated this 4(* - not 5*)so I purchased a new identical unit from Smarthome. Note: I had an interesting problem with the original installation of the coupler-repeater: My X-10 sent out signals to two different devices at 11 pm. One of the devices wouldn't shut off. It turns out that my controller was sending out the 2nd "off" signal while the repeater was sending out the first - CONFLICT! Problem was simply resolved once I advanced the first "off" in my controller program.

Easy to install and does exactly what it claims. It solved my problem with "lost" X-10 commands.

Does not work with X10. I troubleshot this for over a week and couldn't get it to work. I bought this because the XPCR was out of stock. When I received my backordered XPCR swapped out the the device. Once the XPCR was turned on my house became alive. I would not recommend the Levition HCA02-10E for use with X10 systems.

The Leviton HCA02 helped me finally get to the bottom of a noise problem that I was unable to find. Now back on line and no issues.

I should have added this a long time ago, everything works. Very hard to find a box to mount it in though.Still needed a few filterlinc's but my system is working better than ever.

Product worked perfectly. Easy to use, easy to install, exactly as advertised. Very well done!

Got the device in and installed and it works. what more could you ask for.

Intallation wasn't too bad. No velco in the package to attach the coupler inside the box. Also the instructions are not clear that it should be mounted in a separate box. It took some testing to get it to work correctly. The status indicators help a lot.
