Essential Info

For large, complex X10 installations where it may be necessary to use more than one amplifier, this Amplified Coupler-Repeater can be set to ignore previously amplified and repeated signals and only repeat/amplify original X10 signals. This prevents signal collisions that can reduce signal strength when multiple amplifiers are used. This Amplified Coupler-Repeater has DIP switches that enable the user to customize their operation depending on the application. The beige-painted enclosure is designed to mount on a 4 11/16" x 4 11/16" (double-gang) electrical box. LEDs in the cover indicate programming and operational modes. Incoming signals as weak as 25mV can be detected and repeated on all phases of power.

For systems with less demanding needs, this module amplifies X10 signals of 100mV or more to 5V across both phases of a 120/240 VAC split-single phase distribution system commonly found in a single-family home. The Amplified Coupler-Repeater will repeat both standard and extended X10 code sets. LEDs on unit show operation status. One shows that power is on and the unit is ready to repeat signals, the other will blink when it receives and sends X10 signals. Both lines are fuse protected. Will mount into a standard three-gang electrical box.

We installed a phase bridge first to fix our loss of signal problem, that helped some, but it was kink of hit and miss. When we installed the repeater we no longer have any problem any where in the house controlling the lights. I think it is a great product. Thank You Alan Pedersen

The 4820AC has solved virtual all of my X-10 send/receive issues. Installation was easy and straight forward. X-10 signals are coupled across phases even when the house is running on backup generator power.

I had a problem with X10 signals reaching all parts of my condominium. I first tried your plug-in repeater amplifiers (2) one on each phase which did not solve the problem. The installation of the Homepro Amplified Coupler Repeater has solved the problem perfectly. I am very pleased. Your customer service is excellent. If I didn't already have such a large investment in X10 equipment and cameras, I would switch to Insteon immediately due to your equipment and customer help.
