Plug the transmitter and indicator into different wall receptacles and the indicator will tell you the quality of the X10 signal path between the 2 locations. Set any X10 transmitter to send P1 signals and plug the signal indicator into the nearest wall receptacle and it will tell you the strength of the X10 signal being generated. The signal strength indicator can also show if there is excessive noise in the circuit. Shows 8 signal strength levels from 25mV to 2V. (100mV minimum signal strength required for normal X10 operation.)
