The IR pet sensor is hardwired into the AutoSlide system and will automatically open the sliding door when it senses your approaching pet. The IR sensors install low to the ground, roughly at the height of your pet's chest, to accurately detect when they are near. The IR Pet Motion Sensor Bundle also gives owner's the ability to program their sliding door to only open wide enough to accommodate the size of their pet. This is beneficial as it allows the AutoSlide system to operate more efficiently as well as minimizing the chances that other animals or bugs can enter your home.
