Whether temporarily moving your television into another room or due to limitations with your home's setup, this device helps overcome the signal loss inherent to lengthy HDMI cable setups. Manufacturer Recommendations: (1) - Use a minimum of 24 AWG HDMI cables between the source and destination when connecting this extender, to ensure minimal signal loss and maximum High Speed signal reliability. (2) - Although this extender will work with Cat5e UTP cables, it is strongly recommended to use Cat6 STP cabling for anything longer than minimal distances. Cat6 STP cabling will provide the highest reliability and signal integrity to ensure that your installation is trouble-free under all conditions for years to come.
