Finally, a great-looking candle with a truly useful timer feature. This candle turned out to be a product I always wanted--but I didn't realize that until I got it home. Yes, having candles extinguish themselves after 4, 6, or 8 hours selectable is handy. The surprise came the next night when they came back on by themselves! This functionality in the online description which I evidently glossed over increases the usability of this product 50-fold for me. It means that every night my wife and I will be enjoying candlelight without having to consciously decide to do so each time. They're also great to wake up to... something I'd never intentionally do with real candles. And these units look and feel like the real thing. I thought candles with wax drippings would appear more real, but the smooth finish on these candles give them a clean and elegant look; the online photos don't do them justice. Another nice touch by the manufacturer is making the bulb units replaceable. I don't think I'll be testing the 50,000 hour bulb life 20 years at 6 hrs/day, but it's nice to know obsolesence isn't forced. The only design change I can think of would be adding a center hole in the bottom, so the candle will fit on spiked candle stands. As you can probably tell, I'm very happy with this product and recommend it highly.
