The STEINEL IS 240-120B occupancy sensor automatically turns lights ON when presence is detected and OFF when a space is left vacant, enhancing security, convenience and energy savings. The sensors are rain tight for safe, reliable operation indoors and out. The STEINEL IS240 Outdoor Occupancy Sensor uses the UltraEYE lens for superior detection. It covers 240° of area and mounts on a wall, typically under a building soffit. Walking beneath the sensor will cause immediate detection. Shrouds and fine-tune adjusting can customize the coverage area to suit the application.

The IS240-120B occupancy sensor is intended for vertical mounting to any 1/2 inch threaded cover plate or knockout and is rain tight for safe reliable operation indoors and out. The sensors are passive infrared (PIR) and respond to heat radiated from moving persons or other heat-emitting objects (such as vehicles). The sensor hardwires to the electrical wires in your home in a similar format as a wall switch, with the sensor acting as an automatic switch. It will automatically turn lights on when PIR sensor is triggered and off when a space is left vacant.
