Essential Info
The Steinel® America Dual Motion Sensor Floodlight has a variety of key features to ensure that it operates at peak expectations to provide a high level of protection for your property. The Motion Sensor Flood Light has a 140° detection angle with 40' range, and its floodlights are adjustable horizontally (270°) and vertically (65°). The length of time with which the floodlight will stay on is fully customizable from as little as 10 seconds to as long as 15 minutes. It is perfectly suited for outdoor use as it has an IP54, UL rating with a rain tight enclosure to protect it from the elements. This Motion Sensor Flood Light is compatible with Par, PL, fluorescent, R or quartz lamps, with a max of 150 watts each, 120VAC.

Precision-molded curved lens
Unlike other thin flat lenses, the NightGUARDIAN lens is molded into a curve, so it is distortion free and water-tight. No false triggering either due to distortion or moisture problems. In fact, the entire NightGuardian unit carries a UL rain-tight rating. Unlike the competition, it does not have to be placed under an eave or in a protected area.
Advanced surface-mount circuit board for greater reliability and longer life
Similar to the circuit board circuitry used in personal computers, NightGuardian technology provides reliable, accurate performance from -40°F to 120°F. This means no false triggering due to wind, leaves and swaying branches, snow, rain and hail, barometric pressure changes or sudden temperature changes. The competition often uses 30 year-old technology, using push-through mounting of components onto the circuit board and a layer of solder to make connections between circuits. This type of circuit responds slowly and has to go through many connection points, providing many potential points of failure.
Built-in surge protection with auto-reset
Unlike the competition, the NightGUARDIAN resets itself instantly after power surges, outages and shortages. Additionally, if the competitions' product is miswired during installation, the circuitry is generally destroyed. With the NightGUARDIAN, the unit simply resets itself once the wiring connections are corrected.
No mounting height limitation
Only NightGUARDIAN can be installed at any height, even above 12 feet. With its UL rain-tight rating, NightGUARDIAN can be placed in open weather... it does not require a protected area.
Flexible detection coverage
NightGUARDIAN offers "Sneak-By Guard," which prevents intruders from sneaking under the lens. Minimum coverage distance of 40 feet, even farther in colder temperatures. Views a 140° horizontal angle that adjusts to cover any 140° in a 270° sweep, with a 65° vertical plane adjustment. Zone adjustments made easy with clip-on shrouds that allow split zones. Timing adjustable from 10 seconds to 15 minutes.
Microprocessor manual override
The competition's product will often slip into override as a result of power outages or surges, wasting electricity until you notice the unit is in override mode. With the NightGUARDIAN, the unit will automatically return to normal operation after four hours. Additionally, a red indicator light behind the lens lets you know the unit is in manual override mode, eliminating guesswork.
