Essential Info

These remote-controlled tealights flicker like real candles but use LED lights, so they're safe for use in any location in and around your home. These battery-powered candles will not blow out in the wind and are ideal for use when real flames are not acceptable or allowed. The convenient low battery indicator lets you know when batteries need to be replaced. The tealights have a burn time of up to 80 hours each, and use two 3-volt lithium batteries per candle (12 batteries included).

Please note: If you experience difficulty with the remote controller turning the candles on and off, the manufacturer recommends the battery be changed as it may have been sitting in the unit too long.

Replacement 3-volt lithium batteries are available.

Hands-On Research
In testing, I tried the candles in my childrens' rooms. These remote-controlled tealights make a great nightlight and if the children fall asleep, there is no danger of fire, and the convenience of turning off the candles from the doorway with the remote control. (No more stepping over stuffed animals or directly onto tiny legos...).

    the product was shipped & received promptly upon order. Tea lights worked satisfactory upon receipt but now some have developed an issue whereby they become illuminated independently of the remote. This is problematic with battery usuage thus manual off must be initiated. Additonally some tea lights will not illuminate easily when remote is used and will only illuminate after repeated attempts via the remote.

    They are terrible!!! They turn on by themselves and will not remotely turn off. The reason I purchased them was because my wall sconces are high on wall and difficult to reach. I could have purchased some inexpensive battery operated candles because these are not any better.

    They were cool at first, two weeks out I am already having technical problems and I think the remote control battery is dead.

    No instructions on how to operate the tealights and remote. If you turn on the tealight switch and turn off the light with the remote the battery in the tealight goes dead in a short period of time because the electronics is still on.

    They were exactly what I wanted and needed. I have a set of Wall sconces 14ft off the ground and did not want to have to get on a ladder to light a candle. These fixed that with a one time trip up the ladder...or so I though :-(. I got them late august 2008 and used them about 5 times for about 15 min each time, it is now October 21st 2008 and they no longer respond to the remote. So basically just sitting in the idle position with no light, the batteries died and now I have to go buy 12 more batteries and climb up on that ladder again...and suspect I will need to do this once every 1-2 months. So originally it was going to be 5 of 5 stars, and now it is 2 of 5.

    I had to return the first set I received because when I would first use the remote it would work fine, then after turning the lights on and off a couple of times (less then 10 times) the remote would not be able to turn them off. I have the tea lights on a very high wall that is out of reach (probably 14 feet up from my reach)and thought this was the perfect solution. But we are having to get the ladder out constantly. After returning that set I received another and now the same thing is happening. As soon as we get the ladder back out and re-cover the ends with cloth we will be climbing back up and getting the tealights down and returning the second set also. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them, I really wanted this to work and was thrilled when I thought I had a solution to my sconces being so high up on the wall.     Really neat product. Only slight problem is getting them all to turn off/on at the same time. Got some stubborn ones in the pack, but they do all eventually respond to the remote.

    Beautiful & I love that they don't drip wax & I have no worries about having them around my kids or pets no fire concerns. If the remote acts up, just change the battery that is my only complaint, you need the change the batteries. They also sell plug-in realistic flame candles which i love to product #4633LBD.
