The device charges using daylight or artificial light and requires no electricity or batteries to function. The advanced technology of this material provides a bright glow that lasts all night long. You can expect each Find A Light to last over 20 years.

    Note: The amount of light output is proportional to the amount of light this device gets before its dark (or the light is turned off). Also keep in mind that if you are going from a bright room into a darkened room, your eyes may need to adjust a moment before seeing the glow.

    We are very disappointed with the Find A Lights. We have put them in several locations. All are rooms that have plenty of light in the day, but apparently that is not enough to make the Find A Light strips even glow a little. A great idea, but it doesn't work.

    I am quite prejudice since I invented the find a light product, but I feel moved to bring my comments to the table of our products functionality. For those that did not feel this was effective the chances are when they were evaluating Find a Light they were looking for the product with light adapted eyes if this makes any sense to the readers. In other words if a person is waking up in a dark room and our product is in this room there eyes are dark adapted and they can see the Find a Light product immediately and love the product. If they however are in a lit area first and there eyes are light adapted they can't find it and therefore would initially find our product useless. Hope this is helpful to those that check out find a light, Chris Luginbuhl Inventor
