The speaker/bulb features a 70 mm high-fidelity loudspeaker that offers full-range high performance audio combined with an energy efficient LED light bulb. The speaker delivers superior audio quality and enhanced bass, with 25 Watts RMS power at 95% efficiency. The speaker also doubles as a light bulb, and what's more, a dimmable LED light Bulb that provides 500 lumens of warm, pleasing light with output equivalent to a 65-watt reflector bulb. Installation is as easy as unscrewing an existing light bulb and replacing it with a MusicLites Speaker and Dimmable Bulb combination. It can receive signals from the included Toslink/Mini-Jack transmitter (typically connected to your stereo receiver or amplifier) and remote control from a range of 30 to 90 feet away. The system can be expanded to accept three sources and five zones. Other source transmitters available are the
iPod/iPhone/iPad Audio transmitter (via a 30-pin connector) and the
PC/Mac transmitter (via a USB connector). To add another zone, simply add more
speakers. You can operate up to three different source devices simultaneously, with up to five zones per house, and 12 MusicLites within a zone. MusicLites use proprietary 2.4 GHz wireless communication that ensures light levels, volume levels and source are all kept in synchronization. All zones can be operated identically if desired. Further, the speakers/bulbs can be set to stereo audio - so by using multiple speakers/bulbs in the same zone you can enjoy left and right channel audio. The MusicLites system is very powerful with many features that make it quite dynamic and flexible for your use. Perfect applications include bar areas, bathrooms, hallways, or any other area where you want audio but don't currently have it.
When the MusicLites speaker/bulbs are used in a can light application, matching
4-Inch,

6-Inch trim rings are available to complete a professional finish to your installation.
