Essential Info
Leviton's line of Vizia control devices combines elegant design with all-digital circuitry to give you precise lighting control. This 600VA Magnetic Low-Voltage Dimmer has an LED indicator to help you find it in the dark and a line of seven LEDs to indicate the preset brightness level. The brightness level is set by a handy control bar just to the right of the paddle. This dimmer can stand alone as a single-pole dimmer, or can be part of a 3-way (or more) circuit.
Operating the Vizia 600VA Magnetic Low-Voltage Dimmer couldn't be easier. One touch turns your lights on to the last-used brightness level, or you can adjust to a new level by using the Dim/Bright Bar (even when the lights are off). Any installed remote dimmers will track and display level settings. Touch again to turn the lights off, or hold the paddle for a long touch, and you've engaged a 10-second delayed-off feature. When the lights are off, the long touch turns the lights on to full brightness. And you can easily adjust the fade rates to gradually bring the lights up to your desired level or fade to off, enhancing the mood and giving longer lamp life.

The Vizia Range of ProductsLeviton's Vizia product line is designed to add a sleek, modern look and feel to your home or office. All the switch paddles are hinged at the top, rather than the more common center position, for a smooth appearance - the paddle flows perfectly into the wall plate without protruding. The switch paddles always return to a neutral position, so all your switches are always lined up for the best appearance. Vizia switches and dimmers blend perfectly with Vizia RF devices to increase your control options, including hand-held remote controls. The Vizia 600VA Magnetic Low-Voltage Dimmer comes with a White paddle installed; Ivory and Almond paddles are also included and are simple to change to blend with your décor. All Vizia devices use Decora-style wall plates (sold separately).
Important Installation PointsThis Vizia 600VA Dimmer must be used with magnetic low-voltage transformers (or with incandescent or halogen bulbs) only; use the Vizia 600w Electronic Dimmer for fixtures with an electronic low-voltage transformer, the Vizia 1000VA Fluorescent Dimmer for dimmable fluorescent lighting, or the 1.5-Amp Fan Control for motor loads. Use this device only with copper or copper clad wire. If you install multiple Vizia 600VA Magnetic Low-Voltage Dimmers in one junction box, the current capacity must be de-rated: 2 devices in one box rates 500w max, and 3 or more devices rate 400w max for each device. You may mix Vizia and Vizia RF devices in multi-way circuits, but only the Vizia RF devices will send the Z-Wave commands, and there is a maximum of 5 LED devices or 10 non-LED devices in one circuit.
A Note About NeutralsThis Vizia device does not require a neutral wire for single-pole or some 3-way installations, but a neutral is required to operate the LEDs in some remote switches. Learn more about neutrals here: Do I have neutrals?
