This is a good product if you want to add a virtual switch and control a bunch of lights from one location. I use them in bedrooms to control all the lights in the room from the switch by the door. Things to keep in mind: Installation requires the Leviton Zwave remote to configure the controller and associate devices to it. You might be able to use another brand remote, but things will go much smoother if you use the Leviton Scenes only work with Zwave modules that implement the “scene” command. Leviton modules do this, older products do not. However, you can still use the controller in non-scene area on/off mode with older Zwave modules. It will switch them on at the last brightness level. You cannot dim from this controller – it only switches a single scene on or off. If you need more flexibility, take a look at the Leviton four scene or two scene controllers. Controller requires a neutral and hot connection.
