Essential Info
Traditional surge protectors and power strips allow for multiple devices to plug in to a single power outlet. However, they don't account for the size that many bulky power adapters take up, rendering receptacles blocked and unusable. They also don't take into consideration coaxial and telephone protection, leaving your cable components and phone lines open for damage. The cleverly designed Surge Ro-tector 6-90 incorporates six 90° rotating receptacles which permit large power adapters to fit side by side and across from each other in one compact unit. In addition, there are in and out low loss coaxial connections and telephone jacks (one in two out) positioned at the bottom of the power supply to provide protection for your cable and phone system. A savvy consumer will use an all-in-one surge protector like this to solve their power protection (up to 2160 joules) and connection problems.
Hands-On Research
The Surge Ro-tector 6-90 worked as described. Upon plugging the product in, the ground and protection indicator lights came on immediately. Each rotating receptacle, coaxial and phone connection was tested individually with success. The product was then tested with each receptacle, coaxial connection, and telephone connection in use simultaneously with all powered items operating as normal. Each receptacle was tested with oversized plugs. The ability to rotate each receptacle made each plug fit side by side with no problem. One feature that would make a great product like this even better would be to incorporate an on/off switch.

The Surge Ro-Tector 6-90 is a non-traditional surge protector that can accommodate up to six regular or oversized plugs and AC adapters, one cable connection and one telephone connection. A compact box shape and the unique ability to individually rotate six receptacles 90° is unlike other surge protectors on the market.
Energy absorption/dissipation
This rating, given in joules, tells you how much energy the surge protector can absorb before it fails. A higher number indicates greater protection. Look for a protector that is at least rated at 200 to 400 joules. For better protection, look for a rating of 600 joules or more. The Surge Ro-Tector 6-90 is rated at 2160 joules.
