Essential Info
Use this steel DIN Rail to mount circuit breakers, terminal blocks, relays and other industrial control equipment on walls, enclosures and equipment racks. It will mount to any flat surface and is available in one meter or two meter lengths; which can be cut to a shorter length to accommodate your installation. DIN rails offer a quick snap-on and snap-off railway to attach and remove multiple industrial control devices with ease. This DIN Rail is a DIN 3 (also referred to as Top Hat section, Type O, or Type Omega) style; which is 35mm Wide x 7.5mm Tall, with a mounting slot diameter of 6.3mm and mounting slot center to center of 0.98 inches. DIN 3 rails are the most popular and commonly used DIN Rails, and are typically used to mount circuit breakers but can also be used as grounding bars. . The 35mm width is also known as a TS-35 footprint, which is the most common and industry standard (TS-32 and TS-15 are also available). The 7.5mm height is also an industry standard (15mm, or High Hat, is also available). The shape of the strip is setup so that devices can be pressed on using DIN clips that attach to the bends in the rail so that the device is held firmly in place.

EN 60715 (IEC 60715) specifications - dimensions of low-voltage switchgear and control-gear. Standardized mounting on rails for mechanical support of electrical devices in switchgear and control-gear installations.
EN 50022 specifications - for low voltage switchgear and control-gear for industrial use. Mounting rails. Top hat rails 35 mm wide for snap-on mounting of equipment.; (formerly: German Standard DIN 46277, British Standard BS 5584).
