I researched a number of solar switches and chose this product in the end. I'm an electrician by trade and it is my opinion that it's pretty hard to go wrong with Honeywell products, they are an industry standard. It looks and feels like a good quality product and is relatively intuitive to program. the look of it is very stylish and I don't find the little blue indicator led offensive at all, in fact I think it's a great idea. The lcd display has adjustable back light brightness. This switch uses latitude bands instead of lat/long co-ordinates. I live in southern Ontario and have both types of solar switches and they both seem to work equally well. This switch keeps accurate time where as some others do not.

Easy to install, and VERY easy to program. I have tried many other brands such as TORK, and this is the best looking and easiest to use.

The programmer timer is a little challenge to program, but once I understood it, it works just the way I want. It comes on at sunset and goes off as sunrise. It was easy to install; if you aren't experienced at electrical projects hire someone that knows what they are doing.

This is my 3rd purchase of this specific timer, and so far so good. Easy to use, well worth the money. I am hoping these timers last longer than the 12-18 months the less expensive timers lasted in the past.

Item arrived on time and in it's original new packaging. I had ordered one from another retailer who had sent a switch someone else had returned and tried to pass off as new. Installation was quick and simple and so was set-up. Total installation took approximately 15 minutes.

Great product - easy to install and fairly easy to program. And it looks really nice! My only complaint is that the unit occupies a large space in the electrical box so you need to make sure you don't have a lot of excess wires.

Took my husband only about 20 minutes to install and it's working great.

Wanted an automatic switch to operate my outside coach lights. Did some research online and found the Honeywell RPLS740B had good reviews and I liked the feature of self adjusting of the sunrise and sunset times by programing your longitude and latitude into the switch. Found Smarthome had the best price for the switch, ordered it, it was shipped quickly. Hooked up the switch, went to put into switch/junction box and the switch would not go in all the way because of all the wires that were in the box. Word of warning, switch mounts flush with wall plate, so all the mechanics of the switch are in back of it making the switch bulky. So first check and make sure you have enough room in box for switch. I contacted Smarthome about my situation, they issued me a full refund. I'm giving it 5 stars but the stars are for Smarthome as they gave me no hassle and full refund. Can't rate the switch on it's function because switch was hooked up but never used because it wouldn't fit inside box. Would buy from Smarthome again, good place.
