    The Pilot Light Decora-Style Switch's border shields against dust and fits securely in a wall plate to prevent rocker binding. The switch comes with both Quickwire push-to-fit easy wire terminals and screw-down side terminals that accept both solid and stranded wire to ease installation.

    This residential-grade, non-grounding switch has a full-rated current capacity with tungsten, fluorescent or resistive loads.

    The switch's rocker paddle is illuminated when the load is on. A switch is also available that lights up when the load is off for easy locating in a dark room. The Leviton Pilot Light Decora-Style Wall Switch is also available in ivory.

    The illuminated portion of the switch is only a fraction of the top segment (say 60%) and it's a bit dimmer than I had hoped. Aside from that, it performs well.

    This is a rare beast -- an illuminated switch that lights when the switch is ON, rather than when the switch is OFF. It's perfect for when there is a light in a closet or pantry with the switch on the outside. The glowing switch acts as a reminder that the light is on in the closet -- it could otherwise be left on for days! Installing it is about the same as any other light switch.

    I installed this switch, and it does light up when it is in the On position, but it is not nearly as bright as I thought it would be. I don't get any direct sunlight in my bathroom, but even with indirect light filtered through a curtain & two shower curtains, the light is very difficult to see. And if the light above the sink is on, you can't see this switch's light at all. I bought this switch to control my exhaust fan because it is very quiet, and sometimes it was left on for hours. As far as I'm concerened, this switch is only mediocre, at best and not worth the $18 that I spent to buy it & have it shipped to me.

    The pilot light does not light, even after double checking connections. Either the light is defective, or the switch is defective. It needs to be returned for credit.

    Is attractive and works; Agree w/others, click is louder than the basic decora switch it replaced, and the pilot light is not very bright. It doesn't draw attention to itself and you have to look directly at it to determine if the light is on.
